RULES & REGULATIONS
Participation in the competition includes full acceptance to the below conditions:
Candidates must play all competition pieces from memory (including tape round) with the exception of the Semi-final round’s sonatas with piano, and the commissioned work.
Repeats are left to the choice of the candidates, with consideration to the duration of the programme and stylistic norms.
The repertoire of each candidate must be submitted by the date stipulated in the official invitation, after which, no change may be made unless required by the Artistic Committee.
Candidates must register to the competition office by the stipulated date in the official invitation. Failure to do so would result in disqualification from the competition.
TRAVEL AND ACCOMMODATION
The competition administration will contact each candidate personally to arrange accommodation and flight details. Accommodation is provided when a candidate is still competing. Flight support of $500 SGD will be provided for candidates shortlisted for the live rounds.
ORDER OF APPEARANCE
A ballot process on the reporting date will determine a candidate’s order of appearance. This will apply for the entire duration of the competition.
An accompanist will be provided for the candidates at no cost for two rehearsals prior to the recital. Any additional rehearsal will be at the participant’s own expense.
A candidate may bring his/her own accompanist at his/her own expense.
Candidates are required to have with them original scores for all works and must be prepared also to supply full scores for the organiser and accompanist for all works up until the semi-final.
Participation in the competition indicates full acceptance of the conditions, including rights for the organiser to broadcast, record, televise, film and publicize the performances during the competition.
