Yun TANG has been successful in several international competitions, including International Violin Competition “Andrea Postacchini” (2nd prize, 2017), Schoenfeld International String Competition (1st prize, 2016), Zhuhai International Mozart Competition (2nd prize, 2015), Japan Euroasia International Violin Competition (2nd prize, 2013) and Youth Group of Bucharest International Violin Competition (1st prize, 2007).
As a soloist, Tang has collaborated with many orchestras. In 2016, she performed Dvorak’s Violin concerto with the China Philharmonic Orchestra, Shanghai Symphony Orchestra and Guangzhou Symphony Orchestra. She has also collaborated with the Shanghai Philharmonic, Qingdao Symphony Orchestra, Zhejiang Chinese Orchestra, Guiyang Symphony Orchestra, Viennese Orpheus Chamber Orchestra, Salzburg Chamber Soloist and others. As an avid chamber musician as well, she was selected in 2017 to take part in the Lausanne Academy and was awarded the Best duo prize offered by the City of Lausanne.
Tang studied under Professor Yu Lina at the Shanghai Conservatory of Music. In 2014, she received the National Scholarship and Shanghai Outstanding Graduate award. Currently, she studies at the Mozarteum University Salzburg, in the class of Professor Pierre Amoyal.
