Eimi Wakui



Eimi Wakui was born in Tokyo, Japan. At the age of 5, she started to study the violin and music at The Music School for Children attached to Toho Gakuen School of Music. And she studied in Toho Gakuen Music High School since 2008 to 2011. In 2011, she was accepted by Toho Gakuen College Music Department Soloist Diploma Course with special scholarship from Toho Gakuen School of Music. After graduating from the college in 2015, she continued to study at the University Mozarteum Salzburg with Professor Pierre Amoyal. She is winner of several national and international violin competitions and awards, such as the 3rd prize in the Concours International de Violon Tibor Varga Sion Valais in 2013, 1st prize in the Euro Asia Young International Competition in 2015, 2nd prize in the II Oleh Krysa International Violin Competition, and 3rd prize in the 4th Mirecourt International Violin Competition in 2016. She has performed with several orchestras as a soloist, such as Orchestre de Chambre de Lausanne (Switzerland), Torun Symphony Orchestra (Poland), Sendai Philharmonic Orchestra (Japan), Orchestre Symphonique et Lyrique de Nancy (France) and Zagreb Philharmonic Orchestra (Croatia). She has plans to perform with an orchestra in Ukraine and present a recital in Poland this autumn.
